Narooma House

Nestled on the hill of Oceanshores, within the Byron Shire, on Bundjalung Country, we are in the midst of transforming a once-dated home into a inviting sanctuary. The house, filled with synthetic and outdated design elements, required a complete deconstruction to reveal the blank canvas that would allow us to reimagine its soul.

In our redesign, we replaced vinyl flooring with the warm, natural beauty of timber and introduced textured walls through the use of limewash paint—infusing each space with a sense of timeless elegance. Our focus on custom American oak joinery brought organisation and warmth to the master suite, creating a space of understated luxury and comfort. The result is an inviting retreat—a true escape for its owners, who now have a home that feels both fresh and alive with character.

With views into the treetops, the home has transformed into a magical hideaway—once lost to the clutches of design excess, now restored with a gentle balance of elegance and warmth. It’s been a joy to breathe new life into this beautiful space, allowing it to once again connect with its natural surroundings.

Currently under construction are the walk-in robe and en-suite, which will further complete the master suite.

Looking ahead to 2025 and 2026, we will continue to refine and transform the lower level, alongside a studio conversation for the basement level —a new chapter for this ever-evolving home.
